The Arkansas Newspaper Foundation (ANF) annually coordinates two Douthit Scholarships of $1,500 each and four paid summer internships. More information about these opportunities is available. Just click on the links to the left to download fact sheets and application forms. All of these opportunities are granted to journalism majors in Arkansas colleges and universities. While all divisions of journalism are welcome, heaviest consideration will be given to newspaper journalism majors (including advertising), to junior and seniors, to students with working experience (part-time jobs and internships); and to those who show professional promise. To help in the selection process, also submit (1) a short essay (one page or less) on your personal philosophy of journalism's role in society; and (2) any supporting documents you choose. See the links at left for deadline information.
