The Arkansas Newspaper Foundation (ANF) is the non-profit educational arm of the Arkansas Press Association that provides services to 29 daily newspapers, eight semi-weekly newspapers and 103 weekly newspapers across the state. The board is made up of six newspaper publishers who represent the diverse regions of Arkansas.

Summer Internships for Journalism Majors

The Arkansas Newspaper Foundation (ANF) annually coordinates summer internships available to journalism majors in Arkansas colleges and universities. While all divisions of journalism are welcome, heaviest consideration is given to newspaper journalism majors (including advertising), to juniors and seniors and to students with working experience (part-time jobs and internships).

Adobe Workshop

Russell Viers, Internationally Certified Adobe Instructor, will be giving his tricks of InDesign/Photoshop on Thursday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. He will be at the Durand Conference Center in Harrison, AR. The deadline for submitting entries for the 2010 Better Newspaper News/Editorial Contest is Wed., March 31, by 5:00 p.m. All entries must be received by that time or postmarked by that date. APA Advertising Conference

The 2010 APA Advertising Conference will be held March 11-12 at the Clarion on the Lake in Hot Springs. Among the highlights will be the annual Awards Banquet honoring winners of the 2010 Better Newspaper Advertising Contest and an APA "Day at the Races" at Oaklawn Park. Mark your calendars and plan on coming.
