|Arkansas FOIA Anniversary|
Arkansas Freedom of Information Act
The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) was signed into law on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1967, making 2017 the “golden anniversary” of Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller signing the bill into law.
To aid in commemorating the year-long observance, the APA has created a logo and some ads that can be downloaded and used to help raise awareness of the FOIA and of the golden anniversary year celebration.
The FOIA ads can be found on the Ad Clearinghouse where APA member newspapers go to downloads ads for their newspapers. Feel free to use these ads throughout 2017 as we commemorate Feb. 14, 1967, the day the sun shined on the people of Arkansas.
